This notice describes the features included in this version of The Potting Post.
Browser storage
Bookmarks, checklist progress and notebook entries are stored using local storage in your browser. The site does not send this content to a server, create an account or synchronise it between devices. Clearing site data can remove it. Use Download notes to keep a separate copy.
Information you enter
The notebook asks for a plant or project name, date, note type and text. Enter only information you want to keep on your device. Other people with access to the same browser profile may be able to read it.
Images and outside links
Website images, scripts and styles are served with the site. Following an external reference or photo-credit link takes you to another website whose privacy practices apply there. This version includes no analytics, advertising scripts, tracking pixels or embedded social media.
Hosting and changes
If the site is hosted online, the hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP address, requested page and browser details. Hosting-specific practices depend on the service used. If analytics, advertising or contact forms are added, this notice must be updated to reflect them.
Managing stored information
Use bookmark buttons to remove saved articles and the Remove note action to delete individual notes. You can clear all site data through your browser settings. Downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them.
